Had room service for breakfast this morning, food was really good! We checked out at 12 and walked down towards the Panathanaic Stadium where we were hoping to see some of the special Olympics. On the way we passed quite a few police vehicles and policemen standing around, was all near where the protests have been. We walked past Parliament house and there was a security guard out the front wearing a skirt and tights, was an interesting sight! We arrived at the stadium 1hr later to find no events being played. We found a shady park bench, ate lunch and then made our way back to the hotel. We picked up our luggage and left for the airport taking 4 trains to finally get there. When we arrived in Rome we boarded a bus which took us right into the main train station. Brett was seated in the front row and me 3 from the back. Made for an interesting journey. I had a lady next to me who hardly moved when I came to sit down and then just glared at me with her fake eyelashes and hair extensions. We stayed at the Hotel Contilia for the night which was nice but the shower was tiny. Was all we needed though! We got into the Italian spirit and went out for pizza as we hadn't had dinner yet, filled the spot perfectly.
