Oki doki. We are back with more traveljoy:0... Last time I wrote Emily was doing a sunset kayaktrip and she was very excited about it. I can tell you; It was absolutely amazing and she had a lot of fun with Lisa, a very sweet girl we've met, from Sweden. She does have a lot of beutiful pictures to share with you all some time when we get back home:).. This was i Franz Josef where we also spent the next day - but this time it was a bit more exhausting than kayak and skydive: we went for a glacier trekking for 8 hours. We started out at 9 0'clock in the morning, went down to the office and recieved jackets, boots, and those things you put underneath the boots when you walk on ice.. You know!!!:) We were quite optimistic about it as we started walking but after 4 hours we were exhausted and wanted to do anything else than be on the top of a glacier... After feeling a bit sorry for ourselves we kept on going. After 8 hours we felt really tired but also really good. We felt like champions:0.. It was not just hard work, we did have a lot of fun and the view from upthere was absolutely beutiful - see pictures when we get back:)..
We got op at 8 o'clock to take the bus to Wanaka - everyone was really tired and that trip was very quiet. The bus did stop for a lakeview - but we had to walk 20 minutes to get there. Like we didn't walk enough the day before... Anyways. We got to wanaka at 4 o'clock and went to the lake and laid down for a while, enjoying the sun:).. We had to get back to a barbeque at the hostel at 6 so we didn't really get to enjoy the water that much - but I did go for a little swim;D.. We had a partynight with everyone from the two busses which was lovely and very fun, it has been amazing to go down the westcoast and wanaka was one of the beutiful and nice cities we got to visit.
Then Queenstown!!! On the way to queenstown we stopped by a little lake (as so many times before:)) and relaxed for an hour. The kiwibus makes a lot of stops, which became a bit tiring in the end.. Well, we also stopped by a bungyjump place!! We saw a video about the whole bungy history and afterwards you could look at some people jumping or you could jump yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, as a very quick decision, we decided to jump. We waited about 15 minutes and off we went!!!! NO, not really. I got all scared just looking at them, I would never in a million years jump of a bridge, I let other people make that stupid decision!! Emily feels the same way - so you do not have to worry about us doing a bungyjump!!
We had 3 nights in Queenstown. We did not really do much other than party with the rest of the bus for a couple of days:).. We did go for a walk around town, laid in the sun, and we also went to see a movie "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey. We had a very nice time in Queenstown and hated that we had to leave Queenstown to go to Christchurch.
But that is what we did... We took the bus to Christchurch where we have been before. We stayed for two nights and didn't really do much. We went in a paddleboat on the small river and had dinner at "Waggamamma" on their openingnight!! Then we went to see "The curious case of Benjamin Button" - a really great movie with Brad Pitt and Kate ...., I think it was almost as good as "Australia", Emily disagree - but go see it and let us know what you think:0 ..
Lisa came from Queenstown to join us in Christchurch. She is going all the way to Rotaroua with us so we are looking forward to that. We went to Kaikoura yet again. Did nothing!!! other than play cards, go shopping and make dinner!!
Today we arrived in wellington with the ferry from Picton. The ferryride took 3 hours so we got here at 5. We took a quick walk around the city and made dinner. We have three nights in Wellington so tomorrow we will see what kind of city this is:).. As long as the wether is good, then we are good.
Take care. She you in, today, a month!!! Jubii. We are starting to be a bit tired of living in a bag. Trust me, we both still love this travellife, but we are missing "Rugbroed", "Lakrids", "Leverpostej", "Rugbroed". "Rugbroed" and a lot of everyday stuff.. On the other hand we have this great experience so "IT'S ALL GOOD"!!
Love Emily and Sara.
