G'day my sweety little pies hey!
Hows it goin? What a crazy busy amazing week ive had! Town of 1770 was wicked, totally cool! There are only 80 people who live there and it was so cool to be in a real Aussie place off the beaten track, not commercial at all and everyone was so friendly and the activities and stuff were so cheap. The place itself was gorgeous, deserted beaches and lovely coutryside. We went on the scooteroo tour and i've learnt that sadly i'll never be a biker chick! I started by driving my scooter down a ditch and then i got really embarrased, not helped by the fact that one of the instuctors thought it was the most hilarious thing ever and found it highly amusing to shout things like slow down sweet cheeks while i was snailing along at the back! I eventually got back into it tho and it was so cool whizzing round all the country roads, stopping to look at the kangaroos and we stopped off at a little pub on the beach and had some beer and wedges while we watched the sunset over the sea, the ride back along the coast was amazing too, although i accidently turned my lights off and only realised when i got back, oh well! I am now officially a scooterooter, its like being a hells angel but much more cool hey! I'll try and put my scooterooter photo on here soon! The hostel we stayed at was pretty cool too, really relaxing and only 3 people in a dorm! We met some really cool people and went to the one pub in 1770, ended up back at the hostel playing ridiculous games which involved things like jumping in the pool and stuff, so much fun tho! I also had a surf lesson in 1770, i wasnt very good but it was so much fun and im definately gonna try again before i leave Oz, im determined to stand! If we had fun sport like this at home maybe i wouldnt be such a lazy ass! I loved it, it was so funny too, you couldnt have designed a person who looked more like a surf instructor than the guy we had! Apparently he's the fourth best surfer in Oz and he was showing off doing all tricks on the surfboard while we're all splutering around the place, cool tho!
Anyway, after a small costly disaster with the hostel that involved us missing our bus and spending the night at a bus stop (i wont go into it cos it makes me angry!) we got to Rainbow beach. A really nice little place. We were walking along the beach and a police car pulled up, heres me thinking all kinds of stuff but he just wanted to give us a mini Easter egg cos we were so far from home! How sweet is that? I love it here! Anyway, rainbow beach was really just our gateway to Fraser Island where we had maybe our best time yet, it was totally awesom! The hostel put us in groups of 9, gave us camping stuff, food for 3 days, a 4WD and a map and send us off to the worlds largest sand island for 3 days! Our group was really cool and it was just wicked cruising along the beach with the music up, spent the days driving along the beach and stopping at lakes for swimming and look out points and stuff. The island was amazing, it was like desert then it would turn into rainforest suddenly then there would be huge freshwater lakes then it would be desert again! The lakes were gorgeous to swim in. The first night was a proper adventure, it got dark before we got to the place we wanted to camp in and the tide was getting further and further in, we accidently drove through the sea at one point! We ended up setting up camp in our own deserted little spot and had the best beach party, which i must say was mostly mine and Fallons doing! Eceryone love it tho! The second day we spend floating down a creek, exploring a ship wreck and spotting rays and sharks from a look out, we camped with some other groups that night and partyed again! The last day we went to Lake Wabby and if you swam across it was like a mineral mud bath on the other side! We had a bit of a scary drive back to the ferry as the girl who drove was the most ditzy person in the world and thats rich coming from me i know! Back at the hostel everyone was still buzzing and we had another wicked night, kinda taken over by yet more crazy Irish people! One of them came running out of the dorm wearing a plastic bag and covered in soap and started climbing trees before jumping in the pool then going back in the dorm, dont ask, i dont really understand myself!!
Spent the last couple of days in Noosa, a bit of an upmarket sort of place i think! Stayed in a really lovely place in a National Park. Went to Australia Zoo yesterday, home of the crocodile hunter. It was so cool! The crocodile show was wicked and a bit scary, they are all crazy people! A crazy man was just splasing around in the water with a huge crocodile basically just pissing it off and dangling huge pieces of meat to make it jump around the place, he fell over at one point and was like 'thats not supposed tp happen! There were all sorts of other cool things as well, snakes lizards, kangaroos, tigers.. all the keepers as crazy as the next! It was cool tho cos it was all really interactive. It was a bit sad too with a huge tribute to Steve Irwin and you could really tell his influence on everyone. We also saw Terri Irwin and Bindi and Bob which was cool. The best part was that i got to cuddle a koala, it was definately the cutest thing ever! I want one!
In Brisbane at the mo which is cool but i think im definately more of a beach bum, not so bothered about the cities but i had to see it hey. Off to Surfers Paradise tomora, hopefully i'll stand on the surf board!
Hope alls well! Love love love
