Hi,
This is my first blog entry, thought I better write something before I leave, which is now only 3 weeks from tomorrow.....
To say I'm excited is an understatement, but there's a hint of nervousness but it's a good type of nervous if that makes sense! I've been wanting to travel for absolutely ages so being so close to actually starting my trip is an awesome feeling!!
Anyway, I may as well get the main questions out the way first:
Q. Where are you going?
A. Round the world, more specifically Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Oz, Fiji, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil.... and maybe Colombia and Ecuador
Q. How long are you going for?
A. Hopefully 15 months, broken down as SE Asia - 4 months, Oz - 3 months, Fiji - 2 weeks, NZ - 6 weeks, South America - 6 months
Q. Who are you going with?
A. I'm going on my own, all my mates are married, settling down, or don't want to leave their jobs!
Q. What about your job?
A. I quit my job to follow one of my dreams..... Hopefully my lottery syndicate wins whilst I'm away so I don't need to worry about finding a job when I get back!!
Ok now that's out the way I'll list some of the costs of doing this trip:
RTW Flight Ticket - £1700
Insurance - £195
Rucksack - £75
Vaccinations - £200 (I've had pretty much everything, I'm sure I'm like Wolverine now...)
I've got a full break down of all the costs, so if you want more info just let me know.
I had my first leaving do this weekend just gone, my uni mates all came to Derby, some for their first visit. I think it was an experience for them not sure if it was good or bad one though.... I had an amazing time as I always do when I'm with them although my memories of the night out are a bit hazy to say the least! There's some photos attached so check them out.....
I've got a couple more leaving do's lined up before I actually leave so I'm not sure what state my liver will be in by August 11th!
Right, I think I've written enough, I promise this blog will get a lot more interesting once I actually leave... I hope! Feel free to leave a message or comment, not sure exactly how you do it but if you've got this far I'm sure you'll work it out...

Abbie Hi Sanj, I'm already jealous that you're following your dream, but I do hope you have such an awesome time, and make sure you keep this blog updated so I can hear about the amazing adventures you've been having! Take Care, Abs X
Parvez Nice one sanj. Really envy you! Hope you have a good time. Look forward to reading about your experiences around the world. Oh by the way, I'll be leaving atos too in a couple of weeks, found another job :)
