Sandra's Adventures
Hi everyone!
Kim and I finally arrived in Cape Town. We set off last Tuesday from Joburg, and the weather was terrible. Rain and wind and I even saw snow! Kim has never seen snow here as long as she has lived here. So it's a lot colder since I last wrote. We drove down the coastal route, through Bloemfontein where we stayed a night, Port Elizabeth and George. We had to stay an extra night in PE due to severe weather conditions. Unfortunatly we couldn't visit Addo elephant, one of national parks as weather was too bad. We found a really reasonable B&B were we sat and watched tv all day !:-) Next day the weather was much better, so we drove to George, were we stayed with Kim's friend, Liz. Liz's mum cooked a delicious meal for us, traditional S African babooti!
We stayed in George an extra day, and spent the next day at the beach, acting like 10 year olds!! It was a lot warmer than it had been ! Yesterday we drove to Cape Town, and arrived here late afternoon. Unfortunatly the weather isn't great today, it's 25 degrees in most places around the country, but Cape Town is quite cold and cloudy! Typical!:-)
Today we had lunch with Kim's mum, on the waterfront. In the restaurant where we ate they have blankets on seats outside!
It's beautiful here even if it is cloudy! We have so much to pack into this week. I cannot believe I have been here a week already! Wednesday is a public holiday, so we will walk up Table mountain. Will upload some pictures soon!
