It took us six trains and eleven hours to get to Venice from Interlaken! For the most part, it was fairly easy and relaxing but then one of the trains we were meant to get was cancelled. Today was possibly the most expensive excursion yet, an amazing trip to Jungfrau, the top of Europe. We had to take three narrow gauge trains to get there. We arrived in Munich and found our tram. A stop later and we picked up a bunch of people leaving Oktoberfest. One of them, an English guy, was really drunk and was being looked after by an Ozzie couple so he didn't get in to trouble. After a five hour bus trip and a tram ride, we arrived at our hotel about 9pm. After several nights spent in smelly dorms, we were looking forward to our double room. Unfortunately for us, the hotel had overbooked. Luckily they had a nice small dorm so we had somewhere to sleep.
