We travelled down to Koh Samui on the sleeper train. We spent about 12 hours on there but I have developed a skill where I can sleep when travelling, it's like time travel. Koh Samui is an island so we got the ferry aswell. Our hostel was pretty nice. I have never appreciated air conditioning so much as went I walked into my room.
I liked Koh Samui, it was pretty chilled out but there was enough bars to have a party as well. On the first night we went to a beach party but most people went and the party ended. We ended up drinking with and Irish guy, a girl from Switserland, a girl from Italy and a girl from Ireland. It was cool just chilling out and chatting. The main conversation was about the Lisborn treaty and European parlament. Get me.
At some point me and the girl from Switersland (lets call her Jayne, I have not idea what her name was) decided to go swimming. We didn't really think that there was a storm raging. We could see lightening, it was raining, strong winds and we where there swimming in the middle of the night. We came back in when everybody started shouting at us. I actually felt really safe. Crazy stuff.
The day after we went zorbing. This is basically a massive ball that you get in and they push you down a hill. Such good fun. The day after that we went zip lining through the canipay on the Jungle. Just getting there was crazy. We got on the back of a pick up as he went off roading. The inclines where insane. I was convinced it was going to roll over with us in the back. The zip lining was awesome. Amazing views and it's was cool to see all the animals. When we finished we had to walk back as the pick up had gone. One of the guys who worked there walked with us as he was going home. We saw a huge spider on the way and we gave him the camera to take a picture. He took the picture and then picked up the spider and chased us for about 300 meters with it. He probably thought we where being girls but it was about the size of my hand at least.
The next stop was the neigbouring island Koh Panghan but not before we got robbed. They took a phone, camera, ipod, and 200 quid worth of travellers cheques.:(
