From Nelson we headed to Abel Tasman Park-it's a really nice area with a few beaches and lots of mountains, and apparently a few treks if you're that way inclined (which we aren't!) We stayed in a little place called Old MacDonalds fram-we had a little chalet with an outdoor kitchen, and everytime we went outside to cook something we were suddenly surrounded by chickens and ducks and a peacock who all wanted to share with us. There was also a llama who ran towards the fence everytime he saw us, and we quickly discovered that he loved bread. We thought we'd try our hands at kayaking but weren't very good! Out of a day's rental i think we only managed about 3 hours of paddling and spent the rest of the day on a beach. When we came back the becah was full of starfish and crabs where the tide had gone out. We're now back at Nelson so we could go out last night for Halloween, which resulted in bad heads this morning!
