well we meet again,
After a surprisingly pleasant 9 hour bus ride from Cordoba, we have made camp ion Buenos Aires. The hostel we have crashed at is not too bad but right in the middle of San Telmo which is similar to Soho with the majority of cutltural activities based there markets, tango dancing etc. Our first day consisted of trekking round BA seeing most of the sights and ended back in San Telmo drinking in the courtyard watching tango dancing in the sun. I can't complain! As per every other city we have ventured there is art everywhere! BA takes the cake though for a metal flower that is about 20m high and cost $6m. It also physically opens in the morning shuts at night! On Saturday we went to see Boca Juniors play and the ground was sold out for the game. Nikki was a little concerned about the state of the stand as when the fans started going, the whole stadium shook! Throughly worth the visit. We are the worlds worst shoppers but I am happy to note Nikki has bought some boots (finally) but I doubt I've seen the last of the shoe stores. On Sunday we visited a parilla (steakhouse) and was of the best meals we've had even though Nikki is a vegetarian. She has me back on the red wine bandwagon which helps with all the red meat being eaten. Nikki is trying to patent a new drink called 'cafe con dulche de leche', essentially coffee with caramel condensed milk. Its pretty good. Also visited Evita Peron's grave, it was pretty cool but the fact that all the coffins are kept above ground for you to see is pretty weird! Today we have taken the boat across to Colonia in Uruguay and will be here for a day before we head up to Rosario and then the Iguazu Falls. 'Convienently' our plans will allow us to see the the frogs v los pumas and the AB's first game. From there on it could be a battle. We've met a lot of fellow travellers on our trip so far, the lesbian on the boat, the seriously mad kiwi/safa and the intimidating irish drinking teams. I'm sure I've missed heaps but hopes this gives an indication of how we've going. Hope all is well, will write again when we can. Hopefully some joy on photos next blog and a video from the football
