Hola
We have had an interesting few days since leaving BA...from there we headed for two nights to Rosario which is slightly inland and north of BA. In retrospect this might not have been the best plan and I am to blam for this according to sam...he has given me plenty of grief!
Rosario may have been a nice place to go in summer...but given it was not summermost of the tourist activities were not operating and there was pretty much nothing to do once we had walked aroud town. On sunday we did take a boat along the muddy river..that was the highlight. Getting a bus from Rosario to Iguazu (our next stop) was alos a problem..no direct bus apparently. It ending up taking us almost 24hrs to get here. 14hr bus - 2hr stop over- another 5hr bus...was a long day.
But when we did eventually arrive in Puerto Iguazu hav had agreat time. Has been really hot (25-30 degrees) and we stayed at a cool hostel with pool/bar etc...Have been to the falls from both the argetinian and brazilian sides...they are pretty spectacular. They are the biggest waterfalls in the world - even bigger than niagra apparently?
We headed over the border today into Brazil - there is an area where you cross called the tri-border region as has access to Argentina/Paraguay and Brazil. Customs is shall we say non-existant..we could easliy have smuggled some contraband! Tomorrow we fly up to Rio (decided to flag another 24hr bus!) for 5 days.
Sam is working on more photos still... Besos.
