We arrived in Mui Ne during the afternoon after a stomach churning journey down from the highlands. Felt fantastic to see the seaside and palm trees! We checked into a roomy bungalow right on the beach with really beautiful views and free coconuts to drink whenever they fell. The only problem was its location; with a 2km walk to the main restaurants it wasn't fantastic for our sore feet!
After a lazy morning we booked a trip to see the nearby fishing village and then the white and yellow sand dunes, which strangely emerged from the terrain out of nowhere. The locals call it their 'mini sahara' and it really does feel like it! Tired from climbing the sand dunes we had a quiet evening after eating at a fancy fresh seafood restaurant.
The next day we had a relax and played on the beach with our two adopted beach dogs. The evening is spent unknowingly trying pigs ear and drinking rice wine with a German couple and the owner of a restaurant street stall.
The weather was relatively sunny for most of the stay and it was really nice to unwind.
