Sallys Worldwide Adventure
Took a ferry from Ko Samui to Ko phan Yan, which run every day about twice a day I think and really easy to book.
As with all these ferrys and ports, theres always someone either on the boat or at the port offering accomadation and plenty of transort to get there.
Met a guy who had a place in Al salat for 100 bhat a night, thats like 2 pound! So decided to go with him. The area that we stayed in was miles from any where, the guy said it was on the beach, but yeah it had a beach, but down a massive rocky hill and it wasnt a sand beach it was just rocks! The nearest shop was a good 25 min walk and the beach the same, which is quite far, when your walking in the heat!
The room was average, cant really complain for 100 bhat a night, it was a little hut and there were gaps which let all the insects in!
There was a reasturant on the colplex thing, which was really good, done a really good variety of food, even a veggie burger!!
After Al Salat went to a place called bottle beach in the north east of the Island. This place was really cool, it was like a bay in the middle of no where, with a couple of reasturants and huts along it. It was so in the middle of no where had to take a long tail boat to get to it, as there were no roads! Loved this place was so relaxing, my hut was right on the beach, at night I'd walk have to walk along the beach to get to the reasturant, was such a pretty relaxing area!
Didnt go to the main areas of Ko Phan Yan, in the south where all the full moon partys and stuff are, I heard they were good, but not worth a speacial trip for. Maybe I'll go there next time!
