Sallys Worldwide Adventure
I left Sydney and took a 13 hr night bus to Byron Bay. I was really anxious about arriving there as this was the 1st place I was arriving on my own. Was really exciting too a real feeling of indipendance.
I really enjoyed Byron bay, its gotta be on of my frav places, I enjoyed it so much that I went twice. I think the people I met there really made it for me. Most the people I met here, I kept on bumping into on my way up the coast, which was really cool. I traveled with one guy called Rob up to Brisbane, and I met a another guy called Hen who I spent most of my time with, but he worked in Byron so didnt travel up the coast, so thats why I went back again, after my trip at Fraser Island.
Byron was a really cool relaxed place in the day time and then party at night. The beach was amazing, really clean and such fine sand that it squicked when you walked on it. There was also a light house which was an exalant look out place for Dolphins, I saw loads all playing in the waves, jumping in and out! Whilst I was there the 1st time, I went on a day trip to a place called Nimbin. This was Australias version of Amsterdam. Was so funny, there was loads of old hippys with dreds trying to sell you cookies and chocolate and stuff!
