Sallys Worldwide Adventure
Was in Hawaii for 10 days and absolutaly loved it. I felt so at home the whole time I was there, like it really felt like I lived there. I stayed in a hostel in Wakkiki, about 2 blocks from the beach.
My 1st day there I met a guy in the hostel called Jameson from Texas, and we hung out for the whole time I was there so it was really cool.
The beach and the ocean was amazing. The beach was always packed, but it was a nice atmoshere and the water was always full of people. The waves were cool too, sometime a big wave would come in a wash right up to where your sunbathing and dreanch everything!
Wakkiki is a really busy tourist town, but not in a bad way. There are street peformers at night and stuff, was really cool.
The weather was amazing too. It was hot every day, adn it would rain hard for like 5 mins and then completly stop.
Theres not really much else to sayabout Hawaii as I spent most my time just hanging out on the beach. Wakkiki Beach is cool, you can sit there all day and all night and sometimes we did!
We did go to Pearl Harbour one day wich was well interesting. Some of the boat is still visable above the water and its still leaking oil, which was pretty amazing. They also played a movie saying what actually happened which was good, as I actually had no idea what happened, or really even what pearl harbour was really!
One day we went up to the North Shore to a beach called turtle bay, but we didnt see any turtles. But it was still cool as it was a little less busy than Wakkiki Beach.
Jameson was also starting Umi thee, so one day I helped him move into his apartment at the uni which was cool, as I think that is the closest I'll ever actually get to goibg to Uni!!!
