Sallys Worldwide Adventure
I was in San Deigo for 4 days.
I went to a baceball game which was real fun, it was the Padres vs the Rockies. I didnt know what was going on but the guy next to me explained the rules and the I really enjoyed it which was good cause the game ended up lasting for 2 and half hours!!
There wasnt really too much to do in San Deigo, but it was just a nice place to be, full of nice people. Well there is things to do, but not really traveller things. Theres Sea World and the San deigo zoo, but not the sort of place you go on your own really.
I went to Old Town San Deigo, where everything is as it was origanally, but I went on Labour day and it was too packed full of people. But theres loads of museums and stuff there, I only actaually went in one, for 5 mins but that was enough for me!!!
I took a day trip over to Mexico to a place called Tijuna. Had real fun, but didnt really feel like real Mexico, it was all put on for the millions of day tourist that they get every day! While we were there having lunch in a reasturant we saw loads of people being arrested and then they hand cuff them to the back of the truck and then wait till its full to drive them to the station. It was really weird entering Mexico, you just walk through a gate and thats it your in, but cominmg back was different, had to show passports and have all luggage x rayed. Glad I went thou as everyone on the tour got on really well and we all went out that night. I met a guy called Bryan from New York, who was leaving LA teh same day as me so we ended up going together.
I stayed in the gas lamp district near down town, it was a really nice area, and again really nice people, but we it was no where near a beach, I took the bus up to Pasific beach which was nice, but it was too far to go for a beach.
