Well, it's been a quick couple days.. probably because I've been studying GREs most of that time. This journal entry is primarily highlighting Aussie culture that I've experienced in Wagga(which isn't a whole lot).
Aussie movies I have seen:
"The Castle" - Wonderful movie!
"Wolf Creek" - Creepy movie. Not a great script but a GREAT creepy serial killer character.
"Rabbit Proof Fence" - A true story. Sad. A little boring at times.
"Sum of Us" - GREAT flick. Russell Crowe is WONDERFUL in the this movie and Geoff Burton is even better.
"Looking for Alibrandi" - Well done. Deals with a LOT of different issues from the perspective of young Italian girl living in Sydney.
TV:
"Neighbors" -Talk about a lame soap opera about teenagers
"Rove Live" - LOVE it. He is hilarious. Better than Conan.
"John Stewart Global Edition" - Hey, you have to take what you can get..
Music:
Regina Spector, Killing Heidi, John Butler Trio, Eskimo Joe
Phrases:
"Good on ya" - Good Job
"How you going, mate" - How's it going?
"I reckon we shoud..."
"Fair Dinkum" - I'm not sure anyone truely knows the meaning..
Movies I've seen here that I will NEVER see again(Not Australian): "Clerks II" - I just should have known better. "Meet the Fockers" - What were they thinking. "Four Brothers" - Give me a break. FYI I watch way too many movies.
