A view of the canyon looking the other way. You can see the tram car that takes you over the gorge on a wire in the upper left (yellow) and the falls in the lower right. We are hoping for better pics tomorrow as the weather forecast is good.

A pretty bird on the pathway. Can anyone identify it?

This rock formation is called the three sisters. Legend has it that many many years ago three sisters from one tribe wanted to marry three brothers from another tribe, but the elders forbade it. They asked the shaman to turn the three sisters into stone until the three brothers gave up. In the meantime the shaman was killed in battle and nobody was able to convert the sisters back.

When I saw this old armoire I burst out laughing as I remembered the episode where Basil and Manuel were trying to hide the dead body in it from the hotel inspector. Can't wait for breakfast and tea in the morning. I wonder if there will be a mouse in the can of biscuits?
