Off for a few beers last night, turned into some of the best people watching ever, in one bar we counted 15 middle aged men (fat, balding, ugly..you get the idea) with either their Thai bride or a girl for the night, need I say the girls/lady boys were stunning!!
The more we watched the more we could see the sex ring in operation, White men pull up on their scooters and either come in to have a girl great them at the entrance, or he beckons one of the girls over and the girl will either get the nod or told no from the bar owner! Sad to say, although interesting we are seeing this everywhere we go.
Off to Phang Nga via Phuket, long old trip, involving hanging around Phuket for our connection bus. Which meant lunch in KFC and pudding in MacDonald's, not very Thai but aircon, bliss!!
Arrive in Phang nga to be greeted by Mr Kean tours, so 2mins off the bus and our tour around Phang Nga bay, booked, next a place to stay. After being shown one room by a drunk man with no teeth, Ryan decided to turn it down, even though it was only £3 a night. Opted for a guest house that had TVs in the room and didn't look like a prison cell, luxury.
The lovely owner pointed us in the direction of what we thought was a Chinese restaurant, but down a very dark alleyway, (have to say at this point we feel so safe down streets here that you would of never of dreamt of going down in South America), opened out into a massive Buddhist vegetarian festival. Hours later we had collected samples of most of the food on offer and had the best and cheapest Chinese takeaway, ever.
Up early to be picked up for our boat tour around Phang Nga bay, a mangrove-lined bay, surrounded by dramatic limestone islands. Very surreal but beautiful place. Its also the place apparently where they filmed one of the James Bond films, (Graham you may recognise James Bond island?) Also stopped off at a floating village, a network of wooden bridges connecting houses, a school and markets.
After arriving back in Phang Nga after the day trip, the lovely owner let us use a room to shower, rather than sitting in the corridor! Before we caught the night bus back to Bangkok
