Great journey to Sucre, taxi all the way shared with a swiss couple... However Ryan manged to leave his trainers in the boot of the car! Ony realising his mistake when the taxi was half way up the road, funny site, Ryan running full pelt in his flip flops. Not so funny was Ryan dissappearing for 20 mins, me on the side of the road with all the bags, with a crazy homeless guy grabbing at my arm untill a shoved a half drunk bottle of water at him. Ryan finally returned with no trainers, but it ended well after we managed to track the swiss couple down who reluctantly gave them over!!
Sucre for us was all about chilling in cafes, eating good food, and catching up with the blog.
We did however do 3 things (in 6 days), Origines, a restaurant with a live traditional dance show. Show was great, stories being told through dance and costume.
Tarabuco market, we were met of the bus by the sweetest girl who explained a little about the market, and told us we must come back to her family run restarunt, where she will be dancing, "the best dance show in Bolivia" she told us.
People travel days to sell their weavings and other goods, the weavings tell a story of the local villages and some take years to make. I was very proud of my bargaining skills this day, once again Ryan pushed me forward to take charge, after 15mins had him down to 100 bolivianos from 200 (from 20GBP to 10!).
So off we went now to the Sweetest Girl in Bolivias house, it was like watching a family show in your backgarden! but all very charming.
The 3rd excursion we dragged ourselfs out of the cafes for was the Dinosaur Park, where they have found dinosaur footprints in a large stone wall. Interseting but what we liked the best were the full size models!! Even with the funny dinosaur sounds being blasted out of speakers.
7 days left!!!!
