After another amazing bus journey, supposedly direct to Copacabana, which ended up being dropped off on the side of a main road and being transferred into a tiny people carrier for another 2hours via immigration!
Copacabana is a tiny little village/town, with just one main street, and a beach front. We booked our boat trip to the Island of the Sun for the following day. The Islands are in Lake Titicaca, which is split between Peru & Bolivia, how they decided where the split is we still dont know. Lake Titicaca is the highest altitude lake in the world!
Not a lot to say about for Copacabana, apart from the amazing trout that they cook.
Up very early and crammed onto a tiny little boat, with the motor smoking every now and again, filling the boat with smoke. We were dropped off at the north part of the island and went on a tour, people still live on the island and there is a school. You can opt to walk from the north to the south, which takes 4 hours, but after a lot of trekking we opted out and got back on the boat.
You could have been on a Greek Island, amazing views! And it definitely lived up to its name as we got a little burnt!
