sorry i haven't updated this in a while, i've been pretty busy and havent really had any proper internet access (apart from my ipod...but this website doesnt seem to work on it).

so on Wednesday 12th i got the Coast Starlight from LA to Oakland, which was a beautiful train journey, all the way along the coast and through some really pretty landscapes. Then i was picked up at the station and taken to the house where i stayed (friends of friends) just east of San Francisco city - in the Bay Area. Really lovely family. Then on Thursday, Maggie (eldest daughter) and i drove down to San Luis Obispo (SLO) - a really cool beach/college town where she used to live and where her brothers go to college. i met all her friends, which was really nice - fun to hang out with people my own age. On Friday Maggie took me to Pismo beach which was cool, and we went to this pet store where they had all these puppies that you could play with...so cute! After that we went back to SLO and wandered around downtown and did a bit of shopping, before going back to Maggie's friend's house and having a BBQ and just chilling out, watching some movies etc. Then on Saturday we drove back to San Fran, but because we didn't get back until about 6pm, and it wasn't very nice weather, i didn't get a chance to go into the city, which is a shame...altho to be honest all i wanted to see was the Golden Gate Bridge and i can always go back and explore the city properly another time - i had such a great time in SLO that i don't particularly mind not seeing the city.

Anyway, then this morning i had to get up at about 5am (i know...me...early mornings...shocker!) in orde to get to the airport on time for my 7am flight - flight was fine...delayed about half an hour but ok all the same. Nik picked me up from the airport and now here i am...at the Sargeant's house in a place called Lakemont, near Bellevue, outside Seattle...really lovely house, nice place...Emma took me exploring today and i've met a few of her friends etc. Dunno what i'm gonna do tomorrow...just wing it i think - gotta work out how to get to Seattle so i can go adventuring in another city! and on Tuesday Nik's gonna take me skiing (about a 45min drive away from here), and maybe i'll get some snowboard lessons, so i'm a little more prepared for when i reach Whistler!

So yeh...so far so good!

Off to bed now...been awake for far too long! nighty night.
