so today i know i said i was going to go to Universal Studios and i fully intended to do so but the LA bus system is sooooo CONFUSING! so it took me almost 2 hours just to get to Hollywood, after getting fairly lost and dumbfounded...some nice people helped me on my way tho. anyway so yeh, i got to Hollywood and was like, there's no point going to Universal now, i'll only have about 4 hours before it closes - so i decided to explore Hollywood and do Universal another day.

I have to say tho, after the initial excitement and fun of walking up and down Hollywood Blvd and reading all the names on the stars, Hollywood's a bit of a let down. I mean, there's not really much there - i went to the Kodak Theatre (where's the Oscar's are held) and had a look at all the hand and footprints of the stars outside the chinese theater...that was pretty cool. and then i went into the Hollywood and Highland mall and did a bit of shopping (i love American Eagle Outfitters - i wish we had them in London!) and then got on a bus that came all the way to Santa Monica, and now i'm in the Apple Store on Third Street Promenade, which i have to say is my favourite place on earth, besides the beach of course! i love all the shops and just the chilled out atmosphere. i was gonna go back to the beach this eve but as soon as the sun set, a whole load of fog/mist (dunno what the difference is?) settled so it's gone a bit grey. i hope it clears up by tomorrow tho, cos i want to go back to the beach again...i may as well try to get a tan while i'm here!
