Gulf Air Business class proved to be a pipe dream-it was full so was left all dressed up ( you have to wear smart clothes on staff tickets!) wıth nowhere to go! anyways, after a 5 hour wait at Istanbul airport I got the flight down to Dalaman where my mum was waiting. Her house is an hours drive away near the town of Fethiye in a village called uzumlu and thats where i've been all week- Louise has been here all week aswell and its carried on where Bahrain left off really! Lots of sunbathing and beach action...went to Oludeniz beach a couple of times which has the most gorgeous view and the nicest beach ever! although we also went to Patara, about an hour away which is 18km of white sand around a cove area and was voted one of the best 8 beaches in the world! its been nice because the tourist season hasn't properly started yet so its been quiet, yet the weather has been gorgeous all week! had one day of rain but cant complain...done a couple of excursions too- spent a couple of days at Ephesus- which is a set of Roman ruins that is seen as the 8th wonder of the ancient world, it was absolutely amazing and well worth the 4 hour drive...from there we went to Pammakule which is another set of ruins as well as thermal springs on a white mountain called Travertines, its something to do with the calcium apparently! The thermal baths are at a permanent 36degrees though wh?ch was gorgeous!
Not really that many stories to tell because its been more like a holiday- very nice way to start off the proper stuff though, flying via Istabul to Kiev ton?ght and have 4 days there where my main aim will be to find a bar that will be showing Milan v United...could be tr?cky!
sorry for lack of photos but this computer is all in Turkish and wont let me upload any! will try again in Kiev in a few days t?me!
