Hi everyone,

So after the longest bus ride ever we arrived at Ko Tao. We got on the bus at 8pm, seemed ok at first but then the air con got too cold and was then dripping on us and both of us struggled to get any sleep. Then at 4am they dropped us off at Chumphon and was told that the ferry to take us across would be at 7am, so we sat on our backpacks in the dark whilst skanky dogs run around and a cockral crowed every 2 minutes. Finally 7am came along and we then had another 3hours to sit on some rock hard fiber glass seats. We both managed to get an hour of sleep on the boat and woke up as we were arriving. It looked beautiful.
We got our bags and went in search for accomodation, we found some bamboo bungalows for only 300b per night so we took one. Jay took one step inside and fell arse over tit. Apprently the bamboo can be slippery. Our little shack is very basic, just a lamp and a standing fan with a rug on the floor to sleep on. It also has a mozi net but Rox has been eaten alive.
We had a nosey around, not much going on so we went snorkeling. Jay was a great teacher for Rox and after many attempts Rox got the hang of it. The masks were only cheapy ones so they kept filling up with water. Plenty of fish to see tho.
We then went for dinner, we tried some thai food including Thai green curry which we both thoroughly enjoyed.
Rox had a little kip and Jay went for a swim. We both then went for a drink, nice little bar, playing some good music, we sat in front of a fire pit on the beach, pina colada & beer....perfect.
We've decided to stay another night in the bamboo hut so today we'll do some more snorkelling and later Jay wants to go to a Blue moon party.
Tomorrow we are thinking of getting a boat taxi to Ko Nang Yuan which looks amazing.....
