On Friday, members of the Rotary Club of Edson including President Bob Patterson had the opportunity to thank the contributors to the Rotary to Mexico 2012 Project. The Diesel Shop provided a comprehensive mechanical inspection on the Rotary Fire Truck to prepare the vehicle for the 6000 km trip to Mazatlan. Over the past 9 years, the Swan City Rotary Club, Grande Prairie Rotary Club, Grande Prairie Sunrise Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Edson have worked together to donate 45 vehicles (fire trucks, ambulances, school buses and handi buses) to the Rotary Club of Mazatlan who then distributes the equipment to meet the needs of their community.
