ok so now its time for lists! Starting to feel a wee bit stressed about all the things to organise. Leaving the kids - I guess they won't starve but I need to leave supplies. Sort out key for cleaner and dog sitter. Cancel newspaper (I could have actually done it in the time it took to blog about it). What to take? Checked weather today to find out Rome is 30c. Hadn't been expecting that. So a t-shirt is a good idea (and sunscreen ) All a bit too hard ....

38 days to go. Picked up the tickets yesterday (now really starting to believe we are going!!!). Dave, our travel agent threw in a surprise - a tour of Paris at night - starting with dinner at the Eiffel Tower, followed by a cruise down the Seine, capped off with a show at Moulin Rouge. But wait, he also threw in a guided tour of Paris in a Citroën 2CV. Thanks so much Dave, you have outdone yourself. If you ever travel, must go see Dave.

40 days till we leave. Excitement and panic both setting in - so much to do and so little time. Meeting with Dave from Jetset Midland tomorrow to pick up tickets and ask all our last minute questions, well at least the first round of them.
