hii ! in lonavala at the moment, it is craazy ! a cow just walked past the window.. lol

just come from mumbai, arrived there last night after about 2 days of traveling & no sleep ! the city is quite overwhelming & although i saw most of it from a bus window, i think it was the best way. Saying that... never ever drive in mumbai unless you have a deathwish ! It is like london rush hour moving at high speed with some added cows & children in the road. you have to weave your way through highspeed oncoming traffic as nobody stays in lanes or even to their side of the road. i think that indicating is unheard of here and the idea is that you drive to within half an inch of a car that is in your way and then you hold down the horn so they know you are about to knock off their wing mirror. alot of the cars even have 'HORN OK PLEASE' written on the back of them just incase you forget.

the food is really nice & portions are really generous, last night me & marissa weren't feeling too hungry so we thought we would just get some mixed vegetables & rice to share which came to about 50p each & when it came it was huge with 3 naan breads thrown in ! woo !

everything is really colourful & busy here, especially the shanty towns which are just jam packed with houses made from anything & everything. havnt dared to go too close to any yet as the people stare enough when you are just walking down a busy street ! having a really good time though & am about to go buy my indian dress for the ashram visit !

got a few pictures but cant put any up yet as there are no usb ports in this computer and it would probably take several hours judgung from the time it took me to get on the internet !
