so just been on a 2 day hardcore trek in 30 degree heat which was a bit of a challenge ! especially as we were climbing up rocks adjascent to vertical cliff faces, but 'is no problem!' according to our guides: a man who catches snakes in his spare time (he brought & set free the second most venemous type of snake in india only 5 feet away from us !) and a man who has climbed everest twice where he lost a finger & a toe to frostbite & has had to carry 6 dead bodies... nice.

we got to do abseiling down black rock though on the first day of the trek which was amazing but also really scary ! & we stopped over at a local village overnight where a familly invited us into their home for dinner. The woman was cooking over an open fire & invited us all to watch, she even let us make our own bread ! there are 20 of us so was a bit of a squeeze to fit us in their home, but we all sat cross legged around the living room floor & it was really nice !

the second day trecking was really tough as it was mainly uphill scrambling over big rocks with little shade, but we stopped by a massive lake where we could swim while the guides cooked us lunch over an open fire. I cant describe how amazing it was to be swimming in the middle of a massive lake under the midday sun, surrounded by mountains with nobody else but a few cows drinking & some indian women washing their clothes !

after the trekking we were all pretty knackered so today & yesterday we have been spending time in the ashram. I have had 2 yoga & meditaion classes so far & i have another one this evening, they are quite hard but also really hard not to laugh when the teacher just starts singing randomly in the middle of saying something ! Its such a peacefull & relaxing place to be, its very religious with lots of hindu statues & really nice quiet gardens, but then there are a lot of 'scientific research labs' with dhama written on the door (really reminds me of the dhama innitiative camp from lost !) ive also had a back massage & a mud pack today for about 70p ! everything is so cheap here its great ! i feel really rich all the time ! we are travelling up to goa on the overnight train tonight to start the project on monday, not sure if the prices will be the same over there as it is quite touristy.

having lots of fun though & havnt got bitten or sunburt yet so doing quite well ! thanks for all your messages ! although i think im doing ok controlling the hagrid beard helen...
