Day 4 - Malmo
Sleeper train nightmare wasn't as bad as we thought. The German man in the cabin didn't say much, but the French man was lovely... Even if he was whipping his top off at any available moment. He helped Dee pull her bed down and when it wouldn't work he offered her his bed and he was going to sleep in the corridor. The panic about a 2am ferry crossing was solved when the train DROVE ON TO A BOAT. Yes, that was correct. It drove on to a boat. I missed all this, as I practised my magical ability to sleep in any given place and got a wonderful 7hrs sleep. The passport check fiasco was also solved when the 'polizei' knocked on the door and were delighted with Dee having an Irish passport. All in all, not the best journey, but I'm sure we'll have worse in the coming weeks.
We got off the train at 8am in Malmo and Dee's Mum and Dad were here to meet us. Quick bus journey and we are at Kevin's house. Pauline whipped up a full English (complete with REAL tea) and we're all getting showers before descending on Malmo. We've been in these clothes since 5.30am yesterday and we are in dire need of a shower. The shower here looks like some kind of torture room, with water shooting out from all directions. This is going to be the best shower of my life.
Malmo and it's music festival today, Copenhagen tomorrow for Danish pastries and bacon. This is shaping up to be a wonderful weekend...
