Day Four Innsbruck, Austria-We arrived in Austria at about 1700. This is where I got my first glimpse of Tim's navigational skills at work!Tim, reading the "Uncle Rick" tour book like a priest reading scripture, stated that we were heading towards the hotel. After a bit of walking and a stop at the tourist information center, we were directed to the other side of Innsbruck. Our Hotel, an old building near the copper domed building (the corner stone said 1664), was a great building and housed our first shower in several days! After a quick shower and much needed laundry (in a sink and hanging in the room), we toured Innsbruck. We had beers (Lefe and Weisbeer) at a local Steve's recommended bar, Fox Glen. I dined on Weiner schnitzel, garlic bread and fries, a great meal! I need to mention that the Appenzellar Schnapps was still with me! We toured a bit more and then hit a local brewery "Thesarian" in Innsbruck and had a pint. Had some chocolate gelato and finally hit the hay! I tried to call home but nobody answered… It was Fathers day and Debbie was having a BBQ at the house for her father.
