World Trip 2005-06
The Ko Samet vibe is awesome!!
We left the hustle and bussle of shemaleville with the aim of finding our first taste of paradise! which we did. This is an untouched island, with white sands and beach huts for accomadation. It took a five hour mini bus ride and a half hour boat trip to reach the place, but that was cool as we got to meet some fellow travellers from Canada and England. We reached the island at night on this amazing little fishing boat! The trip was so exciting. As we sat in the dark on these crazy wooden seats we watched Thai guys catch fish that were jumping out of the sea as the boat travelled.
When we arrived, we decided to find accomadation with our new travel buddies as we didnt have a clue we were to go. Seriously the place is so untouched, no English written signs, no fancy hotels, just local people in their crazy thai style shacks. We walked for half an hour and found great accomadation right on the beach front, costing us just 3 pounds for the room.
That night as soon as dropped off our stuff we were encouraged by our Canadian friends to go night swimming. It was awsome, just like stepping into a bath. The night only got better, once changed we hit the beach club! R & B music, R Kelly & Ian Brown tracks and sexy ladies provided the platform for Brides and I to showcase our dance moves to the adoring local public! However this admiration didnt last long as i eventually fell into my usual going out behaviour of spilling drinks and tripping over random objects.
The next day, we woke up early still singing and dancing we made our way to the beach, layed down our towels and just chilled in paradise.
I got a Thai massage on the beach while Brides tried to develop a tan. He failed! blotchy skin was the eventual outcome! That night we had a lovely meal and a few casual drinks. (While i boasted a sexy even tan Brides looked like a typical English Tourist with his burnt skin!)
ดนพำ สนืเ we bumped into our Canadien friends who suggested that we bought a bucket of Whisky and Coke, we found ourselves back on the same dancefloor we were on the night prior! Brides was doing his usual Oasis dance routine, while i was pulling off some great new moves! The next day we woke, checked the local village vibe a bit more and then arranged to leave the Island.
Some facts about the island:
Nothing has happend on the island in the past worth mentioning! the main story is a myth about a mermaid and a warrior!
It has a large population of stray dogs! I was loving that vibe, such variety but there wasnt one that compared to Meggy Mo!
The people are so so friendly and happy. They dont expect a tip but the service is so good and there always laughing and joking no matter what time of day.
The Thai kids are so cute! check the pictures
