We arrived in London. I was amazed at the knowledge that Rod has about this country. The hostel was great and the weather is cooler then Sydney. The transport was so efficient and I saw so much in just two days.
We walked all over London before meeting Rod's friend Adele for dinner at the Olde Thameside Inn. We saw Big Ben, Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament buildings. We walked up Whitehall past where the Prime Minister lives to Trafalgar Square. Selfies in front of the fountain and the lions at Nelson's Column. Then we went over the bridge and along the river past the Globe Theatre where Shakespeare's plays were shown. After dinner we crossed Tower Bridge and saw the Tower of London before catching the underground train back to the hostel, very jet lagged.
On day 2, we went to Buckingham Palace and this was the biggest building I have ever seen. And obviously the first palace I have ever seen.
Further along the way we walked through Hyde Park and saw some horses trotting past while we were heading for our first coffee for the morning. This was the Serpentine Cafe on the river.
Moving on, not knowing where I was going, lucky Rod did, we found a huge horse head statue. Of course we took some selfies.
