Hello from Singapore! We left Kuala Lumpur bright and early on the 28th much to our dismay, we were up til' 3am eating chocolate sundaes and counciling our tour leader regarding his trust issues with relationships!! Needless to say we got to the bottom of that one and managed 4 hours sleep before heading off to Melaka. On arrival we decided a cultural trip to the bowling alley was in order, after being kitted out with some rather fetching knee high white socks and clown shoes, Steph became a local attraction after throwing the ball in the wrong direction taking out some floorboards in it's wake! After this, we headed off to sample some "local market cuisine".....Robyn was not impressed and ordered a side of fries just incase! However, we survived (yet again) and headed back to our gusthouse for some beers in the garden. We were only here for one night so in the morning we got the bus to Singapore. After a thrilling river cruise at 5 mph top speed, we all headed out on our last night together as a group...ah, it got messy! We decided to hit a club on the quay called "bumble beez" our beer radar detected the free entry & drinks all night for ladies, the poor boys had no choice in the matter!! We didn't ease ourselves in gently by any means, kicking off the night with some dodgy foreign spirits leading to some raucous behaviour. This included harassing the dj, some serious moves being thrown on the dance floor by various members of the group and some dodgy match making, trying to tempt Singaporian bar maids to the beer bellied blokes in our group - the girls were not loving it....or the guys for that matter! After a delightful taxi ride consisting of Robyn drunkenly complimenting the achitecture of Singapore to an unimpressed taxi driver, the worst was still to come! We all fell in to the hotel, finding it difficult to stand by this point we decided the afterparty destination would be room 308 (our room of course) however, one girl got a tad too excited, charging head on in to our door - that was her out for the night laying on the floor complaining of her egg for a head. Next came the decision to log on to google earth to track down Battisford, Steph got a bit protective of the laptop allowing nobody to come within a metre of the screen! This morning we woke up to the massacre of the night before, scenes of destruction involved a broken lamp in a million pieces on our floor, and robyn sporting a couple of unexplainable bruises which still haven't been resolved! After sweeping the bits of lamp under the bed on our hands and knees, we made a swift check out. Today we made a visit to Orchard road where all the shopping happens, however, as we weren't feeling to fab we came away with nothing but a pen each. Flying to Sydney tomorrow, can't wait! We have a late flight but plan to go at midday to take full advantage of the amenities on site, ie - shopping and the pool! see ya xxx
