The previous blog had to be cut short due to battery running out. Continued..
At our school there has been 10 student teachers who are studying atour local university, they were carrying out one months work experience at our school. One of the boys Arias had his 19th birthday on Wednesday. He told me that he celebrates it on facebook by getting comments from his friends because that's what makes him happy. He then asked how I celebrate in England, the contrast between the two is huge because facebook comments is one of the many celebrations of english birthdays.
So with this I made him a birthday card which Georgia and I then wrote a nice message in. In the evening we went to the stuent teachers accomodation behind the school and gave Arias his card. I wish I could expain to you just how estatic he was. He had the biggest grin and loudest laugh as he said he'd never been so happy and grateful and he'd cherish it for the rest of his life! It was the first birthday card he'd ever recieved and said he was going to sleep with it under his pillow incase anyone tried to take it. It's the little things like so that make me realise how much I take for graunteed at home.
