So, after waking up to about 15 mozzie bites I made it to a traditional Goan breakfast of Bajhi (vegetables – vatana beans fried with coconut, coriander, green chilis, potatoes, mustard seeds, and onions). Think this will take some getting used to!
Decided to be brave a venture outside of the hotel walked the 2km to the local beach through a small village. Loved it! The villagers stopped to speak to me and asked if they can take photos of me. Felt like a right celeb.
Arrived at the beach and found a little beach shack. Spent the afternoon with a Swedish couple. 4 large vodkas, a beer and 2 cocktails = £12! Result!
Back at the hostel for some dinner. I think I have a tan. But it could just be one big mozzie bite!
Things I have learnt about India today -
1- it's totally ok for a man to hold hands with a man and walk down the street. Everyone does it. It's not gay thing (I don't think)
2- mosquitos will f*** you up. They bite you everywhere. Even the soles of your feet. Must have about 20 bites
3- Indians want to take a picture with you. And they prod your skin and laugh.
4- the sea is ridiculously warm! Didn't even feel my own wee.
5- you can not avoid deli belly. Never assume it's going to just be a fart.
Peace out
