WOW!! i've finally made it to Alaska!!!

The flight here was very long and tiring as I had to sit next to 4 screaming kids the entire way who kept climbing on me, wanting to play with me and crying the entire way. Oh dont forget - knocking over their drinks too. They played James bond (again) and then they played Happy Feet which was a very strange penguin cartoon haha as well as some wallace and gromit. I didn't get to sleep at all.

Anyways when landing in Anchorage - the views were amazing - mountains and snow as far as you could see!

When I went thru customs i had my finger prints taken. I thought it was quite warm and forgot they have really good heating haha. When I walked into the main foyer of the airport I met up with Mandy, whoes very nice! And She took me outside to her car - where all of a sudden the -20degrees C hit me, and theres ice and snow everywhere so very slippery to walk on. She drove me around and showed me a few places, the lake which is frozen solid, and Denali - big mountain. Also where she lives (basically just accross the road from me) and a few other places. The place is really nothing like i've ever seen - and its very american.

I'm staying at this very nice bed and breakfast until my volunteering starts on friday - so I have free time in Anchorage until then. The bed and breakfast is very ncie - the host is awesome!! I have my own room and bathroom, and there are other people here - 2 girls and 1 guy my age who are wicked! I've been hanging with them quite a bit however, when i first got here i basically went straight to bed which was probably quite rude. Anways Mandy is picking me up soon to take me out for dinner so i beta go and get ready.
