After a delicious breakfast, Wayne and Bill headed off to play golf with two of Wayne's buddies. Pat and I loaded the bike iin her SUV and drove to Cherry Grove Beach part of North Myrtle Beach. We biked through the town itself, reminding us a little of LBI in NJ although the home are all built up in casre of flooding. Pat described these as low country style architecture. The tide was out and so we were able to bike on the sand for a distance. The beach here is very wide and when its low tide, the beach is even wider. Not what we are used to on MV. No other bikers but us, but plenty of beach walkers... We then biked to a nature preserve by the Cherry Grove boat landing... Waterway Park... on the inlet.... a place for crabbing and viewing egrets (we saw two)). After loading the bikes back into the car, Pat drove to Little River Waterfront from where casino boats depart and travel 3 miles to international waters. We saw plenty of cars in the parking lot and a few tour busses (it was now 1230...) PAt and Wayne enjoy having lunch at one of the waterfront restaurants.
After the boys returned from golf we prepared for cocktails and dinner - mini meat loaves, potato cassrole and salad. Pat had gotten tickets for a show at the Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach. The theatre was developed by the counrty group Alabama. Called the "One" show it. consisted of a troupe of singers and dancers highlighting all types of American Music - Frank Sinatra, Motown, country, spiritual, patriotic, etc. In addition to the dancers, one scene appeared to be a salute to Cirque du Soleil with a young Belgian man perfomring acrobatic manuevers on long scarves above the stage. A comdeian in between sets kept us laughing. Great end to a great day!
