Woke up 730am after a good night's sleep at the McCormicks, Michaela was already at work at 7am. Scott was getting the kids ready for school, leaving around 745am. After Scott returned, he, Skip and I had some chat time to catch up. I decided to go biking - nearby was a small city park with a biking trail. So I headed out to burn off calories from dinner and to get the legs moving after sitting in the car so much the past few days. I found an art museum around the corner from the McCormicks and plan to visit there tomorrow while the boys play golf.
We met up with Dave and Ellen Allen who live approx 20 minute drive from the Mccormicks. Dave is the swim coach and Aquatics program director for more than 30 yrs at UNC-Wilmington. The men's team, he told us, won the colonial Athletic Conf for the 12th year in a row. Ellen, Ned's sister, made a lovely chicken salad and a fresh mozzarella/tomato salad. Was great to meet up with them after eight yrs.
We were home aorund 3pm and after the kids got home from school we joined Scott to take Sadie to gymnastics practice from 420-515pm. Standing behind a glass wall to observe Sadie and her cohorts on the balance beam, doing cartwheels, whirling the rhythm ribbon and a hula hoop, it reminded of watching Ava several years ago when she attended gymnastics classes in Drexel Hill.
After gymnastics we all piled in the car to have dinner at an italian restaurnat called Osteria Ciccheti: delicious butternut squash pasta, gnocchis, spaghetti with sausage, grilled salmon and pizza plates filled the table. A delish bottle of montepulciano (Farnese) completed the meal. AFter the kids were tucked in the four adults played a round of scrabble upwords with Scott the winner.
Spoke to Pat Shusko later - we plan to arrive at their home in Little River SC by 5pm. Weather should be improving tomorrow: less windy, with sun and maybe warmer!! Yea!

judy So glad you 'dodged' the winter storm. No snow here either. Please say hello to Pat and Wayne...we hope to stop to see them on our way home from Fl in late April. I need to connect with them to see if they will be home??
