We've made it through week 1, found our way to Woolys and Coles (groceries), got a bank account, Rob of course got a bike which means I have driven- more than once even, although admittedly I may have found myself on the wrong side of the road once- oops. Lucas has a bicycle and has had 2 surf lessons and has done rather well- I can attest it's a lot harder than it looks! The house is great, lots of rooms for visitors, Luke currently has his own wing of the house! Rosie (cat) has warmed up to us, even brought us a present one night- yup a mouse, We've since talked how we will like her no matter what and presents REALLY aren't necessary. We had lunch with the Myponga school crew, lovely bunch of people. Small school but I'm sure someone there will enjoy Robs sense of humour- at least we can hope! I am currently a member of the teacher's union here, it is optional for all teachers but in order to complete the training required for me to work, well let's just say easier to become a member and get it done. Still waiting on one final piece so that I may work. I have a job at Port Elliot primary school being our equivalent to an EA if this paperwork gets done on time, fingers are crossed! And if that happens then Lucas will hopefully attend Port Elliot with me. Still have a few pieces to this puzzle to sort out.
One issue we've had- where is the HOT we were told about!?! It's been on average 20 degrees for the week and it's summer time! I'm told it's coming just as we told our counterparts fear not the snow and cold will come! Today we shall continue our lazy day of nothingness- 1st one in awhile. Cheers
