Saturday 3rd May - 4 weeks in and Rob's big day!
Rob was up at the crack of dawn, not sure if it was due to excitement or fear!He was booked into a double dive session on Sydney's coast the first being where the shark's hide! The boat was almost full, the sea was choppy but he did it, check the pictures on the blog to see how close he got. He was a little disappointed to return without any teeth marks but more disappointed that the second dive was called 'wedding cake' - Ha Ha!!!No he actually had a great time, I'm still glad I didn't go especially as people were sea sick on the trip.Rich and I had been back to Paddy's market to purchase tea then we all went down to the harbour whilst the boys finished off the day fishing.Sunday we went down to an area near the quay called 'The Rocks' and browsed the weekend craft market. There was some wonderful wood craft, but we didn't buy any as carrying it around would be a problem.Rich and Sue headed off for a 70's street party whilst Rob and I headed for Sydney Tower. We got some fantastic pictures of the city skyline. The tour also includes a moving video, where they whoosh you from one area to another so it first looks as if you are flying above Sydney, the next you are under the sea in the barrier reef, it chucked us about so much I had to close my eyes and concentrate on not throwing up - I felt very queasy for nearly 2 hours afterwards!!!Our last full day in Sydney was spent taking a trip on the river cat going on a trip to Parramatta. We got off had a walk through the park, and down by the river, saw the oldest governor's house in Australia and had a quick look at the history of the area which was on display in the information centre. We walked back to our flat in Oxford Street via the Botanical gardens. The evening was finished off by going out to dinner at Circular quay.
