Sunday 8 - Thursday 12 October 2006 - Queenstown

Arrived in Queenstown in time to catch the replay of the England vs Macedonia match.  Although we knew the score and were told not to bother the 2 of us took ourselves off to the pub - First the Q Lounge, then The World Bar. Nice Sunday afternoon.

Back to the hostel meeting up with Sel and Beth we went next door, Altitude Bar to watch a band.

As it was raining for the first couple of days, we spent our time in and out of shops for shelter making special trips to Queenstown Remarkable Sweet Shop (highly recommended!) and the Great British Lolly Shop!

On Wednesday Dawn & David (Ellie's friends from home) brought the sunshine as promised! So enjoyed the sunshine and then got ready for our night out.  Started off at Altitude Bar then following our Happy Hour Guide made our way round various bars (Morrisons Irish Bar, Winnies - had to get out of there quick, it smelt of pizza!, then the World Bar - where we enjoyed our 1/2 price teapots! A quick trip to Surreal - ended up straight back out again, rubbish music! so back to The World Bar for more drinks offers including lots of free shots!

Not much done on Thursday after the night before - until Dawn & David came round with a bottle to laugh at our skydiving video and zorbing pictures!
