Well today left me tired, as you can see in my picture. Snack Guy got up early and pushed us all to do our business and eat with very little time for laying around. Which he's usually good at. It wasn't all bad though, first place we went after breakfast and pooping was a dog park. Man, Nashville knows how to do a dog park. It was big, shady, and lots of dogs to play with. We were there for a while then Snack Guy made Food Lady and me go to a different part of the park, and man it was hot…like Nashville hot and humid. We did our best to humor him. Turns out he wanted to see something called the Parthenon, some exact replica of a shine to Athena in some place called Rome. I'm not sure of much, but he was into it, and now he says that he's pretty sure Athena is my go-to goddess. Apparently, she represents my wisdom and hunger for battle. Sounds about right. He said she popped out of Zeus' head in full armor ready to throw down. Also sounds right. Anyhow, after that it was time for brunch at a place called Fidos. I dind't get any. But after that, a nice long nap in the air conditioning. When the day got more agreeable, we went back down town for drive around the Gulch neighborhood….boring…then we stopped at a brewery where we contemplated life and its deeper meanings…they also had some other dogs there so I barked at them…also had to bark at the waiter to make sure he knew where his place was…that's right, Athena, goddess of wisdom and war is my champion. No wonder she likes me. Then a walk through crazy downtown…people dancing, singing, crowded together like there was no such thing as Covid. It was a nice walk along the river, even with all the distractions. After that, a trip to a local hill top where you can watch the sun set and see fireworks over the town, called Lovers' Circle. You can imagine what that was like. I hurried them along best I could, and now it's time to wind down for the night. Food Lady and Snack Guy said something about going to Memphis tomorrow for BBQ. But I'm not sure what that means. Tomorrow that is….I for sure know what BBQ is, and I guess we'll see if it beats NC BBQ or not. I have my doubts. I'll keep you posted.
Your best dog, Risa
