Foz do Iguaçu
30/01/09
As I am writing this travel blog I beginning to bore myself with my limited knowledge of adjectives which I use to describe the many incredible moments that we are experiencing…so I will apologise in advance if the words amazing, incredible, beautiful or unbelievable become a bit tedious. That said I would say that Iguazu waterfalls are one of the most "amazing" things we have both ever seen and this has certainly set a bench mark for the remainder of the trip. We began our tour on the Brazilian side of the falls and upon entering the national park we felt as if we had landed in the Jurassic park set. We took an open top bus through a forest to the main vantage point on the Brazilian side in an attempt to beat the tourist rush. The area is spit into various levels which have platforms that extend out into the canyon giving panoramic views of literally hundreds of falls. Not only are the falls huge but it was the number of them that surprised us the most. Not to mention the stunning vivid green landscape they were formed around. I will let the pictures do the talking, but again we don't feel they do them justice in the slightest.
