St Valentines in Salta

After leaving Mendoza we travelled over night by bus to Salta which is another city in the north of Argentina. We weren't´t that lucky with the weather but Salta did have a lot to offer with nice European architecture and plentiful restaurants and cafes.

To mark the occasion of Valentines day we took a cable car to a hill on the side of the city so we could over look the whole of Salta from a vantage point. It was really nice but unfortunately it rained for the majority of the day so we didn't´t stay long.

We decided to go out for a plentiful dinner in the evening, and as it would be the last in Argentina we thought it would be rude not to partake in a bottle or two of Salta's finest vino....this was also to help us get through yet another midnight bus journey to the border with Bolivia where we would wake.
