We left Seville today for Tarifa and the coast. We caught a 9:30 bus for the 3 hour ride to Tarifa. Saw a lot of hills, cows, and sunflowers on the way. Arrived in Tarifa, which has a small, walled, old city with winding narrow streets and white-washed walls. Our hotel has a lot of character, our room has its own court yard. We then set off to explore the beach and the harbor. Tarifa is the southernmost tip of Europe and is the point where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic ocean. We walked along the beach and then decided to go back and get our swimsuits on. We were able to swim in the Atlantic and Mediterranean all in the same hour. The Atlantic side was more windy and wavy (and more fun). The Mediterranean side had a smaller beach with less wind, colder water, and more people (some of whom were topless). Went back to the hotel to get showered up and then out to dinner and a paseo (walk) around the town. Tomorrow we are off to Morocco.

Jenn sounds like you're having a wonderful time!
Colleen This is my favorite of your destinations since it's the southernmost tip. It's like going to the tip of the Florida Keys--except you can't see Cuba :-). Very cool--swimming in both oceans.
