We decided to move onto the next beach called Caron beach, it was only 2 km up the road and a showaddywaddy was to take us there, we went to the stop and there were several pulled over and all the drivers were sat in the back of one having a chat, we asked 'which one to Caron beach please?' with that one pulled up from round the corner and stopped, it was only 5 yards from us and they said 'that one' and then shouted 'NOW NOW' this made us panic and we pretty much jumped onto it. We had been advised that the Little Mermaid Hotel was a good and cheap one so that's where we headed. I saw it on the side of the road and gave the driver a nod, he stopped and we were right outside it, the easiest journey ever. We went in, got shown directly up to our room and had a look round, it had a mini bar in the room. We went to the beach and spent the whole afternoon there not even stopping for lunch, the sun was blistering hot and the sea was clear with no stones or seaweed all the way out. Then Sarah called the earliest beer o'clock of her beer drinking career at 13:00, Sarah wanted a new book so we searched high and low for one, eventually we found a hotel that sold them cheap and Sarah was a super happy chick, I grabbed my ipod from the room, we went to the shop and got four Chang they were opened, my ipod was on and I felt great, Sarah was bobbing around in the sea reading on her newly purchased rubber ring. We nailed those four, I then went to the shop and bought three more and a sack of crisps. Got back and those went down the hatch, so I went back to the shop and got three further beers, it was about 17:00 now and the sun had cooled off a bit but the beach was still packed. Both of us were in and out the sea frequently to have a wee (everyone does it, so don't pretend it's disgusting). The sun was setting and it was a fantastic spectacle, it's bright orange face was sinking into the sea as the sky illuminated in a fantastic red colour, we had by now built a little wall of empty beer bottles and at 6.4% we both felt a little squiffy. We headed back to the hotel and decided that we were both gagging for a curry, we had seen two restaurants earlier in the day and was gunning it to the restaurant, the first one was busy but expensive so we went to the cheap quiet one. I ordered a lamb masala (girly I know but these Thais know how to do spice so I thought a madras would be too stingy the following day!) and Sarah her usual chicken tikka masala and two plain naans. It came out and after about five mouthfuls I was full and Sarah didn't like hers. We then ordered chips to go with it to fill Sarah's void of disappointment. I ate and enjoyed all of mine, I then ate a little of Sarah's and drank mine and her beer (a man's got to do what a man's got to do). There was most of Sarah's curry left so we asked for a take away box to have it for breakfast. We went back and watched some trashy crap American programme called disaster dates which actually made me laugh a little. Then a deep sleep until Sarah sat bolt upright and crazily proclaimed that there was a rat in the room, this was too crazy for me to comprehend at this silly time in the morning. I woke up at 03:30 chelpin for a drink so found the water and glugged about half a litre down. A broken nights sleep but who cares no work to even think of!!!! :-)
