We moved on today from Kamala beach to Kata beach on the other side of the island, it was quite a simple journey... we thought. We waited for a showaddywaddy next to our hotel and waited about forty minutes and at last one came... and went, it didn't stop for us, 'what a bell' I said. He got caught at the lights about 100 yards up the road so we went in pursuit we jumped in the back of it anyway and on he went. However we went round the corner and that's where he stopped which is why he didn't stop before for us. We then got told by a tuk-tuk driver that the showaddywaddy's didn't run to Kata beach which we knew was gobs***e and he tried to charge us 600 Baht for a lift there (showaddywaddy's are 30 Baht no matter how far you go) we told him that his information was incorrect and waited anyway. I think he realised he was being a penis and then told us we needed to change in Phuket town and get one to Kata. About twenty minutes later one arrived and we jumped on, it took less time to get back into Phuket town than it did to get to Chris Kamara beach, we then got directed to the Kata beach showaddywaddy and got on it. This then dropped us off in Kata beach centre. We walked round trying to find cheap accommodation which didn't seem to exist on this island. We eventually found refuge at a local in, it was accommodation of rough sort and we we in a stable and there was an ass and other animals, a child was then born and we were visited by three kings. That didn't happen really, we found a cheap (still expensive for us) room and it had a tele and air conditioning. We were changing to get to the beach and a little white manky looking dog who tried to make his way into our room, I kicked him out and he sat on the balcony bit for ages I then looked at him whilst Sarah was in the shower and he nicked one of Sarah's flip flops and ran off, the little b****** had me running round after him making me look stupid. We then went to the beach for a while which was again very busy but the water was crystal clear here. We sun bathed for a few hours and then went back to the room with beer and pot-noodles in tow. It was a magnificent feast we had lined up, the dog was waiting for us on our balcony. I built a defence so it couldn't get on our balcony (a laid down chair) as Sarah doesn't like dogs, not one bit. We ate, drank and was merry. Then we went to see town at night, Sarah climbed over the dog defence and he came bounding round the corner and Sarah let out a very strange noise that can only be likened to a bird having it's wings snapped in two. The dog was running around her she was shrieking 'RIIIIIIICCCCKKKK' I couldn't get the door locked, Sarah was in a state of real panic and the dog continued to play with her, it had done it to me earlier in the day and nipped (in a playful way) at your legs. I pushed the dog away but he thought I was playing and he didn't understand 'piss off' and I didn't know how to say it in Thai. We eventually got past the Brimstone Beast, Sarah panicked and me confused at what the noise was that she was making, (to be fair it could have had rabies) we headed for town. We walked around for a bit and the highlight of the trip to town was Sarah nearly buying a headband. We headed home for bed and watched again celebrity 'come dine with me' and I managed to speak on Skype to my old man, which is the first time I had seen him since last year, he was round at my sisters having dinner. It was great to see him and then we went to sleep.

Sarah Our room was weird - it has corridors and connecting room all which could be locked! You know, the whole time we were in Phuket we never actually went to the main beach there?!
