We visited a buried village and was caused by a vocano eruption in 1800's. Was really interesting. We then went to Hells gate, which was so cool. Had boiling mud, steam, cooking pools, the largest waterfall in southern hemisphere and lots more geothermal stuff. We took a walk around before heading to the natural spa where we had a mudbath (haha) and a sulpher bath. We gelt very relaxed and refreshed but a bbit smelly too. (sulpher smells bad) We then got lunch where Richard tried a traditional maori meal which has been cooked undert the groud. Its called a Hangi and was very tasty. We then headed off to Te Puia which is home to Rotoruas biggest geyser (in the pic above) and was really impressive when it spurted. We were just beginning to get used to the smell of sulpher in the air but it was time to move on to Waitomo to see some glowworms.
