We drove on to Te anau for the night which was a gorgeous wee town. We got a fright in the morning when we woke up to under 10oC. The coldest we had experienced since leaving Scotland. our van was cold to say the least lol. We then headed on to Milford sound for a fiordland cruise. The drive to the fiord was beautiful. The scenery was out of this world and the mist was low so the mountains and the rives were just spectacular. We saw a lot of mirror lakes which were beautiful. We arrived a mountain which had a tunnel going through it which was a bit daunting but cool at the same time. As it was only one lane the traffic lights would stay red at one side for 15 minutes. Extreme or what!!! We then arrived at the jetty where we boarded our boat and haeded off onto the river. It was absolutely amazing.Beautiful waterfalls, snow peaked mountains and lots of wildlife. Saw the rare fiordland penguins and lorts of fur seals. Was such a beautiful way to spend the morning. We then headed back to Te anau for lunch beside the river and then we headed on to Queenstown (Lord of the Rings territory)
