Today we set out to explore KL. We wanted to go to the Lake Gardens to visit the bird park and orchid and hibiscus gardens. We left fairly early today to head to the bus station in Singapore. I must admit I wasn't expecting much but it was the best bus ever!! It was like first class on a plane (see pic!). Today we decided on a wander down Orchard road, the famous shopping district in Singapore. We also needed to arrange transport to Malaysia and find somewhere to watch the rugby! We went to the amazing visitor centre on Orchard road where the extremely helpful Steven Wang sorted us out, telling us know that the bus was the way forward and even phoned to hold a booking for us. We got on a virtually empty plane this morning and were supposed to take off half an hour early due to strikes but we ended up taking off later than originally scheduled-hmm. Still, the empty flight meant it was quiet and comfy and the supply of free booze helped it pass by quickly. There is no time difference between Perth and Singapore so no jet lag - yeah!
